The second story is about a one-syllable word from Jean Cocteau. Cocteau had showed to a newsreporter the moving or prestigious memories among whom he was living. And the visitor asked him the traditional question :

– If the house was burning, and you had the time to take only one thing, which one would you chose ?

Cocteau answered : 

– The fire !

Michel Tournier, Le Vent Paraclet. Tournier was the last living French writer. Litterature may be orphaned, Tournier’s back to Orpheus.
