Forgotten. That’s a strange name for a cheese.
Good cheese. Raclette festival of Ovronnaz, in September.
The cheese, the bacon, the food! I also like that cow foto eating the flowers as they parade by.
Thanks :o) – Yeah, it’s very good, simple cheese. L’Etivaz (hey-t-vah) is some kind of high end gruyère but comes from Canton Vaud, not Canton Fribourg (but it’s maybe thirty kilometers away). Like last week-end with the Raclette competition, I’ve got hundreds of pictures to use, but I’m still uploading Poland photos in my queue… so expect to see some flowered cows coming back in January ! ;o)
Been there, done that. Over Ovronnaz, Seya and Grand Garde pikes. 11.5 km in a little less than four hours, with almost 400 meters ascension up to 2187 meters altitude. Followed by the Swiss cheese
orgy competition Fromage et Cime where I was able to try six different excellent Raclette from their respective Valais makers. I also saw Bernard Rappaz sporting his signature mullet haircut eating some hot cheese. #myovronnaz
Swiss grilled cheese. If it doesn’t kill you, you’re doing it wrong. #raclette
Dans le froid et la famine,
Par les villes et par les champs,
A l’appel de Dénikine,
Marchaient les parmesans blancs.
