@latmover

This one is mine. The rifles cost about $300 here in the United States and the diopters are about the same price.

Nice mousqueton (and very nice picture, too) ! Was the owner’s label still under the buttplate when you got it ?

I’d like to compliment you for being the first American providing a picture of a Mq 31 with the safety ring in the correct position ;o)

On another topic, since I’m accidentally posting a lot of firearm-related content today, I’d like to announce I’ll get my new gun tomorrow. Can you guess what it will be* ?

*not a mousqueton

How to use the cartridge quick-loader for Mousqueton 11 or 31.

They are now of course very rare (their tin metal/cardboard composition aged poorly) and precious.

bigwordsandsharpedges reblogged your photoset  Just got my Fox print from robbiesantosthings….

And what about the nice Swiss rifle?

I already talked a lot about my [Mousqueton 31] 😉

But it’s probably the only gun I know that is truely good in every domain, from hunting to self-defense, via infantry or guerilla warfare, competitive or recreational shooting, for close quarter or long distance, with an excellent cartridge, the right size and weight. There are probably better guns suited for every of those niches, but they probably cost a lot more money, are that polyvalent, aren’t as beautifully made and are often socially awkward.
